Chemical Composition: Defoaming polysiloxane solution, with dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether as the solvent.
Typical Physicochemical Data: Appearance is a clear liquid; density is 0.96 g/ml (at 20℃); non-volatile content is 18.5%; flash point is 76℃.
Performance Features: It has excellent long-term stability and does not affect gloss. It is easy to add, and its dosage can be optimized through post-addition. Additionally, it is a highly compatible defoamer, specifically suitable for sensitive water-based adhesive systems as well as pigment-free polyurethane and acrylate/polyurethane emulsion systems.
Application Fields: Particularly suitable for pigment-free polyurethane and acrylate/polyurethane emulsion systems. It is highly effective in the production and application of water-based coatings, covering fields such as plastics, coatings, and wood. It is also applicable to water-based adhesive systems.
Recommended Dosage:
In the coating industry: 0.1% - 1.5% (based on the total formulation weight, in as-supplied form).
In adhesives: 0.05% - 1% (based on the total formulation weight, in as-supplied form).
Addition Method:
In the coating industry: This additive can be incorporated at any stage of production. It is recommended to split the dosage into two additions: 2/3 of the dosage is added to the millbase, and 1/3 is added during the letdown stage or after letdown is completed.
In adhesives: This additive can be added at any point during production.
Packaging Specifications: Available in 30 kg/60 kg sealed plastic drums.
Storage and Transportation: It should be stored at room temperature, away from light, in a sealed and moisture-proof environment. The shelf life is 24 months. It is a non-hazardous material and suitable for regular transportation.
