Chemical Composition: Mixture of defoaming polysiloxanes, hydrophobic particles, and polyethylene glycol.
Typical Physicochemical Data: Density (at 20℃) is approximately 1.00 g/ml.
Features and Advantages: It is VOC-free and has moderate compatibility. Particularly suitable for pigmented emulsion systems based on styrene-acrylate, acrylate, or acrylate/polyurethane, it can effectively prevent the formation of micro-foam in high-gloss and semi-gloss water-based coatings. It is also applicable to coatings applied via airless and air spraying. Meanwhile, this defoamer does not affect color acceptance or gloss, and offers long-term stability.
Application Fields: Mainly used in water-based high-gloss emulsion systems, adhesives, printing inks, and overprint varnishes. It can also be applied in exterior wall paints, high-gloss and semi-gloss paints, as well as pigment concentrates.
Recommended Dosage:
For printing inks and overprint varnishes: The dosage of the additive (in as-supplied form) is 0.05%-0.8% based on the total formulation.
For the coating industry: The dosage of the additive is 0.1%-0.8% based on the total formulation.
For water-based acrylate adhesives: The dosage of the additive is 0.05%-0.5% based on the total formulation.
The optimal dosage must be determined through a series of tests.
Addition Method: Due to the high incompatibility of the additive, this defoamer must be incorporated under high shear force to ensure good dispersion; otherwise, defects in the system may occur.
Packaging Specifications: Usually available in 25 kg/barrel and 200 kg/barrel.
