Mainly composed of fluorosilicon compounds, a material combining the properties of fluorine and silicon elements:
In solvent-based ink and coating systems, it rapidly eliminates foam generated during production (e.g., ink stirring, coating mixing) and provides long-lasting antifoaming effects to prevent re-foaming in subsequent processes, ensuring product stability and quality. For example, in printing ink production, foam can affect ink transfer, causing spotty patterns or blurred lines—DC-7 effectively avoids such issues.
Significantly enhances the flowability of solvent-based inks and coatings, enabling uniform spreading on substrates to form smooth films and improve appearance. It also strengthens wetting on various materials (metal, plastic, paper, etc.), enhancing adhesion and printing/coating effects.
Compatible with multiple resin systems, including acrylic, alkyd, amide, epoxy, nitrocellulose, polyester, polyurethane, and vinyl resins. It does not react adversely with system components or affect resin properties, allowing application in various ink and coating formulations without compatibility concerns.
Fluorosilicon compounds feature high chemical stability, withstanding temperature and pH fluctuations in typical ink/coating production environments. They remain non-degradable and effective under different working conditions, ensuring consistent defoaming and performance improvement.
Suitable for various solvent-based printing inks (gravure, flexo, etc.). Adding during ink production controls foam, ensures ink quality, and enhances printing clarity & color reduction. During printing, it facilitates ink transfer to substrates, minimizing printing failures.
Applicable to industrial coatings, automotive paints, wood coatings, etc. Adding during coating manufacturing eliminates foam from stirring/dispersion, improves leveling during application, forms uniform/smooth coatings, and enhances adhesion and corrosion resistance.
Recommend adding before or at the start of foam-prone processes (e.g., stirring, mixing) in solvent-based ink/coating production to suppress foam generation. If foam occurs, add incrementally while controlling the speed to avoid system instability.
Dosage depends on specific ink/coating formulations, processes, and foam severity, typically recommended at 0.1%–1% of the total system. Conduct small-scale tests before actual use to determine the optimal dosage for balanced performance and cost efficiency.
Slowly add DC-7 to the stirring ink/coating system for uniform dispersion, or dilute with the system’s solvent before adding to accelerate dispersion and enhance defoaming.
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures. Maintain storage temperature at 5–30°C; excessive heat may affect stability, while low temperatures may cause solidification or thickening.
Ensure the package is tightly sealed when unopened to prevent moisture/impurities. After opening, reseal promptly to avoid product volatilization or oxidation. The shelf life under recommended conditions is [X] months (subject to the product label).
