Usage Method

  • Dosage: Effective even at low concentrations. Adding 1 to 100 parts of defoamer per million parts of foaming agent is sufficient to eliminate most foam. For initial testing, a higher concentration (50 ppm active silicone) is recommended, then adjust to the minimum concentration required for foam control.
  • Dispersion Method: For optimal foam control, the defoamer must be fully dispersed in the foaming medium. It can be pre-mixed with 1–2 parts of cold water or foaming solution (below 30°C); add the diluent to the defoamer and mix slowly. The pre-diluted mixture should be used immediately.

Storage Conditions

  • The pre-diluted mixture of ACP-1266 Defoamer must be stored below 30°C and is recommended to be used within 6 hours to prevent the formation of non-emulsified silicone. Pre-diluted mixtures tend to become unstable if stored above 30°C or for more than 6 hours.
