Product Application

A. Food & Nutraceuticals (Core Application)

Core Component of MCT Oil: Alongside caprylic acid, it is one of the two primary raw materials for manufacturing Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) Oil, a critical ingredient in functional foods, medical nutrition, and sports supplements.

Natural Food Preservative: Used as a safe (GRAS) natural preservative in foods, especially in baked goods and dairy products.

Flavor & Food Additive: Its esters (e.g., ethyl decanoate) have fruity, wine-like aromas and are used as food flavors. Also serves as a processing aid.

B. Personal Care & Cosmetics (Major Application)

Ester Raw Material:Capric Triglyceride and its mixed esters with caprylic acid, produced by reacting with glycerol/polyols, are top-tier emollients, skin-conditioning agents, and solvents. They impart an extremely light, non-greasy, and silky skin feel, widely used in high-end creams, serums, sunscreens, and color cosmetics (e.g., lipsticks, foundations).

Soap & Cleansers: Used to make sodium caprate soap, known for rich lather and strong cleansing, often found in facial/body soaps and premium handmade soaps.

Functional Additive: Its antimicrobial properties are utilized in specific acne and oil-control formulations.

C. Pharmaceuticals & Veterinary

Pharmaceutical Intermediate: Used in synthesizing certain hormonal drugs and precursors.

Disinfectant Ingredient: Its salts or derivatives can be used in medicinal disinfectants.

Feed Additive: Serves as a natural, safe alternative to antibiotics for promoting animal growth and improving gut health.

D. Industrial Applications

Lubricants & Metalworking Fluids: Its esters can serve as base oils for synthetic lubricants or high-performance lubricant additives.

Plasticizers: Certain caprate esters act as co-plasticizers.

Perfumery: Used in synthesizing floral and fruity fragrance compounds.
