Application Fields
Epoxy Resin Curing Agent: The amino groups in DETA can cross-link with epoxy groups to form a high-strength three-dimensional network. It features fast room-temperature curing and is suitable for coatings, adhesives, composite materials, etc.
Metal Chelating Agent: Can be used as an additive in electroplating solutions to improve the uniformity of coatings. It is also applicable in wastewater treatment to chelate heavy metal ions such as Cu²⁺ and Pb²⁺.
Polyamide Resin Synthesis: Undergoes polycondensation with dibasic acids (e.g., adipic acid) to prepare high-performance adhesives and oil-resistant coatings.
Pharmaceutical and Pesticide Intermediate: Used in the synthesis of antibiotics (such as cephalosporins) and active ingredients of herbicides.
Others: Also applicable in gas purification for CO₂ absorption, and can be used as a lubricating oil additive, textile finishing agent, etc.
Safety Information
Health Hazards: Highly corrosive; contact with skin or eyes can cause burns; inhalation of high-concentration vapor may trigger pulmonary edema.
Protective Measures: Wear gas masks, acid-alkali resistant gloves, etc., during operation; in case of leakage, absorb with sand and strictly avoid direct rinsing.
Storage Requirements: Store in a sealed container in a cool place (below 30℃), and avoid contact with copper and aluminum.
Transportation Regulations: Transport as a Class 8 dangerous good (UN 2071), and a corrosive label must be affixed.
