4. Product Efficacy

  • Antibacterial & Antimicrobial Activity: Caprylhydroxamic Acid exhibits highly selective chelating effects on Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺, restricting the environmental conditions required for microbial growth, thereby inhibiting microbial proliferation. It can inhibit both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, as well as yeasts, Propionibacterium acnes, and Staphylococcus aureus.
  • High Safety: Derived from coconut oil, it is a naturally sourced preservative. Its toxicology has been extensively studied, and it can replace traditional preservatives. When compounded with polyols, it forms a "no-added" preservative system, which is widely used in cosmetics and personal care products.
  • Excellent Compatibility: CHA is highly compatible with most cosmetic raw materials. Its antimicrobial efficacy is not affected by additives in cosmetics, such as surfactants, proteins, and Chinese herbal extracts.
