  1. Industrial Coatings and Paints (Primary Application)

Function: It acts as a coalescing agent and slow-evaporating solvent in water-based and solvent-based coatings.

Benefits:​ It improves film formation, flow, and leveling, resulting in a smooth, high-gloss finish without surface defects. Its slow evaporation rate prevents blushing (a whitish haze) in lacquers and printing inks.
