Dermatological Drug:​ Valued for its excellent antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-keratinizing, and tyrosinase-inhibiting properties, it is a first-line topical prescription drug​ for treating mild to moderate acne (particularly inflammatory acne) and rosacea. It inhibits Cutibacterium acnes, reduces follicular keratinization, and has skin-lightening effects.

Pharmaceutical Intermediate:​ Used in synthesizing certain antibiotics, anticancer drugs, etc.

High-Performance Polymers (Core Industrial Application):

Polyamides (Nylon):​ Polycondensation with hexamethylenediamine yields Nylon 69 (PA69), and with decamethylenediamine yields Nylon 109 (PA109). These long-chain nylons possess excellent toughness, wear resistance, oil resistance, low water absorption, and dimensional stability, used in specialty engineering plastics, monofilaments, brush bristles, automotive parts, and high-performance coatings.
