Polymer Industry (Core Application):

Monomer for Polytrimethylene Terephthalate:​ Polycondensation with terephthalic acid​ yields PTT. PTT fiber combines the elastic recovery of nylon, the dimensional stability and dyeability of PET, with excellent stain resistance and soft hand feel. Known as "elastic polyester," it's widely used in high-end stretch textiles, carpets, and engineering plastics. This is the largest and most important application.

Polyurethanes:​ Raw material for polyester polyols, used to produce polyurethane elastomers, coatings, adhesives, and sealants with good flexibility and hydrolysis resistance.
