Synthetic Lubricants & Greases (Core High-End Application):

Synthetic Ester Base Stocks:​ Reaction with polyols (e.g., pentaerythritol, trimethylolpropane, neopentyl glycol) yields polyol esters​ that are superior Group V synthetic base oils. These ester oils feature very high viscosity index, extremely low pour point, excellent thermal-oxidative stability, and lubricity. Used in jet engine oils, high-temperature chain oils, compressor oils, and biodegradable lubricants for demanding environments.

Grease Thickener:​ Its lithium or complex lithium soaps can serve as thickeners for high-performance greases, providing good mechanical and thermal stability.

Plasticizers:

High-Performance PVC Plasticizers:​ Polyester plasticizers derived from its reaction with polyols (e.g., pentaerythritol, TMP) offer outstanding resistance to migration, extraction, and volatility, along with high permanence.
