Paper Industry – Sizing Agent:

Core Application.​ OSA is the key monomer for producing Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride-based neutral/alkaline sizing agents. These agents react with hydroxyl groups on cellulose fibers, conferring excellent water resistance (sizing)​ to paper, which is critical for high-quality writing/printing paper, packaging board, and specialty papers.

Food Industry – Starch Modifier:

OSA is the exclusive reagent for manufacturing Starch Sodium Octenylsuccinate (E1450), a vital food emulsifier, stabilizer, and microencapsulation agent. It significantly improves the emulsification and stability of starch, widely used in beverage emulsions, powdered flavors/oils, dressings, and meat products.

Polymer & Material Modification:
