Product Application

Coatings & Inks Industry:

High-Performance Solvent-Based Coatings: Used as a high-boiling, slow-evaporating solvent in acrylic, epoxy, and polyurethane coatings to improve flow, leveling, gloss, and prevent blushing or orange peel.

Water-Based Coatings: Serves as a coalescing agent/ film-forming aid, lowering the minimum film-forming temperature (MFFT) of latex emulsions to promote particle fusion and form a continuous, durable film. Also acts as a coupling agent to stabilize resin solutions and improve compatibility.

Inks: Used as a solvent to regulate drying speed and enhance gloss and adhesion.

Cleaners & Degreasers:

Heavy-Duty Industrial Cleaners: A key component in formulations for metalworking fluids, glass cleaners, engine degreasers, and carbon removers. Its dual affinity allows it to effectively solubilize and remove stubborn soils like grease, tar, and carbon deposits.

Other Applications:

Textile Dyeing: Functions as a dye solvent and leveling agent.

Leather Processing: Used in fat liquoring and finishing formulations.

Electronic Chemicals: Found in photoresist strippers and semiconductor cleaning solutions.

Chemical Intermediate: Used in the synthesis of esters and other derivatives.
