Product Application

Pharmaceutical & Agrochemical Intermediates:

Critical Chiral Building Block: A key starting material for synthesizing a range of beta-blocker active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), such as Sotalol and Alprenolol, used to treat cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, angina, arrhythmia).

Pharmaceutical Synthesis: Used in the synthesis of certain anticancer agents and other pharmacologically active molecules.

Agrochemicals: Serves as an intermediate for herbicides and fungicides.

Surfactants & Personal Care:

A key raw material for producing amphoteric and betaine-type surfactants. These surfactants are mild, low-irritating, and offer excellent foaming properties, making them ideal for shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, and other mild cosmetic formulations.

Polymer & Material Science:

Epoxy Curing Agent: Can be used as a modified amine curing agent for epoxy resins, improving flexibility.

Polymer Monomer: Functions as a monomer containing both -NH₂ and -OH groups for the synthesis of specialty polyamides, polyurethanes, and other polymers.

Other Uses: Used in the synthesis of dyes, textile auxiliaries, metal chelating agents, and as a component in gas treatment formulations (e.g., for CO₂ removal).

Storage

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Containers should be tightly sealed and preferably under an inert atmosphere (e.g., nitrogen) to prevent moisture absorption and oxidation. Keep separate from strong acids, strong oxidizers, acid anhydrides, and acyl chlorides.
