1. Basic Properties
- Product Type: Anionic-nonionic compounded wetting and dispersing agent dedicated to SC (Suspension Concentrate), categorized as an additive compatible with high-solid-content formulations. Its core components consist of a compound system of anionic surfactants (e.g., alkylnaphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate) and nonionic surfactants (e.g., polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer).
- Applicable Formulations: Primarily designed for high-solid-content suspension concentrates (solid content ≥ 60%, such as 70% Pyraclostrobin SC, 80% Mancozeb SC), while also compatible with formulations requiring strong wetting and dispersing capabilities, including suspo-emulsions (SE) and microemulsions (ME).
2. Core Functions and Technical Advantages
- High-Efficiency Wetting Capacity: It can quickly reduce the surface tension of high-solid-content active ingredient particles (lowering the surface tension of water from 72 mN/m to 35-40 mN/m) and shorten the wetting time of active ingredients in water (≤ 30 seconds), avoiding the "clumping" and poor dispersion issues caused by excessively high solid content.
- Strong Dispersion Stability: Through the "double adsorption layer" mechanism (anionic components anchor to active ingredient particles, and nonionic components form steric hindrance), it inhibits particle agglomeration and crystallization. After 14 days of thermal storage at 54℃, the particle size growth of the formulation is ≤ 20%, with no stratification or sedimentation, and the suspension rate remains ≥ 90%.
- Shear Resistance and Viscosity Reduction: During sand milling, it can reduce the system viscosity (lowering the viscosity of high-solid-content slurry from 5000 mPa·s to 1500-2000 mPa·s), reducing the energy consumption of the sand mill while improving grinding efficiency. This makes it easier for the active ingredient particle size to meet the refined requirement of d50 ≤ 2 μm.
3. Application Scenarios and Usage Specifications
- Core Application Fields: In the agricultural chemical industry, it is compatible with suspension concentrate formulations of high-solid-content fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides, such as:
- 75% Trifloxystrobin·Tebuconazole SC (for controlling wheat powdery mildew)
- 80% Dimethomorph SC (for controlling cucumber downy mildew)
- 65% Thiamethoxam SC (for controlling aphids)
- Recommended Addition Amount: Add 3%-5% of the total mass of the formulation. The specific amount needs to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the active ingredient (e.g., density, particle size) and solid content. For high-solid-content formulations, the upper limit (4%-5%) is recommended.
- Usage Precautions: It should be added together with water, antifreeze, and other auxiliary materials before sand milling the active ingredient. Avoid adding it later to prevent uneven dispersion. The storage temperature should be controlled at 5-40℃ to prevent low-temperature crystallization or high-temperature component degradation.
4. Quality Control Standards
- Appearance: Light yellow to light brown transparent liquid at room temperature, with no visible impurities. The viscosity (25℃) ranges from 800 to 1500 mPa·s.
- Key Indicators: Solid content ≥ 45%, pH value (1% aqueous solution) 6.0-8.0, qualified thermal storage stability (54℃ × 14 days), and acute oral toxicity LD50 (rat) ≥ 2000 mg/kg, making it a low-toxicity and environmentally friendly additive.
