1. Core Basic Information

  1. Product Name: HDB-SC8000 Dispersant
  2. Chemical Category: Ternary polymerized potassium salt high-molecular polycarboxylate dispersant, synthesized by ternary copolymerization of acrylic acid, maleic anhydride, and polyoxyethylene ether. Its molecular chain contains potassium salt groups and hydrophilic side chains, achieving dispersion through the dual effect of "electrostatic repulsion + steric hindrance", and combining the stability of potassium salt systems with the long-term dispersion of high-molecular structures.
  3. Appearance and Properties: At room temperature, it is a pale yellow to light brown transparent viscous liquid, free from visible impurities, precipitation, or stratification, with good fluidity, facilitating metering and addition during production.
  4. Core Functions: Broadly adaptable to different systems, efficiently reducing the viscosity of suspension systems, maintaining long-term dispersion stability, and having good cost-effectiveness to meet the cost control needs of large-scale production.

2. Key Technical Parameters

Parameter Category Typical Index Range Description
Solid Content 38%-45% Balances dispersion efficiency and storage stability, suitable for most industrial pesticide SC and chemical suspension system production needs.
pH Value (1% Aqueous Solution) 6.8-8.2 Weakly alkaline range, highly compatible with various pesticide active ingredients (e.g., pyraclostrobin, glufosinate-ammonium) and inorganic powders, avoiding acid-base corrosion.
Viscosity (25℃, mPa·s) 500-1000 Moderate viscosity, convenient for precise metering, and does not affect the fluidity of subsequent processes such as sand milling and stirring.
Number-Average Molecular Weight 12,000-18,000 High-molecular-weight design enhances steric hindrance effect, improving dispersion stability and suitable for high-concentration systems.
Potassium Content 3.5%-5.0% Potassium salt groups enhance molecular water solubility and system compatibility, while improving the stability of the dispersant at different temperatures.
Hazardous Substance Restrictions Free of APEO, heavy metals (Pb/Cd/Hg/As ≤5mg/kg), and organic solvents Complies with EU REACH, China's GB/T 23377-2020 and other environmental standards, suitable for green production scenarios.

3. Core Performance Advantages

  1. Extremely Strong Adaptability: Compatible with almost all types of pesticide SC systems such as fungicides (pyraclostrobin, tebuconazole), insecticides (abamectin, acetamiprid), herbicides (glufosinate-ammonium, glyphosate), and also suitable for the dispersion of inorganic powders such as titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, and nanomaterials (e.g., nano-titanium dioxide). There is no need to adjust the formula for a single system, reducing R&D and production costs.
  2. Balanced Viscosity Reduction and Stability: For pesticide SC systems with 40%-60% solid content, it can reduce viscosity by 30%-45%, with a viscosity reduction efficiency 10%-15% higher than conventional polycarboxylate dispersants. After 14 days of thermal storage at 54℃±2℃, the suspension rate of 20% AI pesticide SC is still ≥92%, and the stratification height is ≤4% (volume ratio), far exceeding the industry average, solving the pain points of "difficult dispersion of high concentration and easy stratification during storage".
  3. Outstanding Cost-Effectiveness: While achieving excellent dispersion performance, the unit active ingredient cost is 8%-12% lower than similar high-molecular polycarboxylate dispersants, and the recommended addition amount is only 2.5%-5.0% (based on the total mass of the system), significantly reducing the raw material cost of large-scale production, especially suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises and batch procurement needs.
  4. Good Process Compatibility: Excellent high-shear resistance, with molecular chains not easily broken at a sand milling speed of 1500-3000r/min, and stable dispersion effect. It can be compounded with non-ionic surfactants (e.g., Nongru 600#) and thickeners (e.g., xanthan gum) without compatibility conflicts, and there is no need to modify existing production equipment parameters, reducing process adjustment costs.

4. Application Scenarios

  1. Agricultural Field: Production of various pesticide suspensions (SC), especially suitable for formulations with solid content above 40% (e.g., 40% pyraclostrobin SC, 50% glufosinate-ammonium SC), improving the fluidity and stability of the suspension, reducing the risk of nozzle clogging during application, while reducing raw material costs.
  2. Chemical Field: Preparation of aqueous dispersion systems of inorganic powders (e.g., titanium dioxide slurry, calcium carbonate slurry), used in scenarios such as coatings and plastic filling, improving the dispersion uniformity of powders and enhancing the performance of end products (e.g., coating gloss, plastic mechanical properties).
  3. New Material Field: Aqueous dispersion systems of nanomaterials (e.g., nano-titanium dioxide, nano-zinc oxide), preventing agglomeration of nanoparticles through the steric hindrance effect of macromolecules, ensuring the uniformity of the dispersion system, and suitable for emerging fields such as new energy and environmental protection materials.
  4. Other Fields: Water-based inks, ceramic slurries, etc., helping pigments and ceramic powders to disperse uniformly, improving product quality and production efficiency, while controlling costs.

5. Usage and Storage Instructions

  1. Recommended Dosage:
    • Pesticide SC systems: 2.5%-5.0% (based on the total mass of the system), for high-solid-content (≥50%) systems, it is recommended to use 3.5%-5.0%;
    • Inorganic powder/nanomaterial systems: 3.0%-6.0%, for nanomaterials, it is recommended to use 4.0%-6.0%.
  2. Usage Method:
    • Pre-mixing stage: Pre-dilute with solvents (e.g., ethylene glycol, propylene glycol) at a ratio of 1:2, then add to the mixed system of active ingredients/powders and water, and then perform sand milling to improve dispersion efficiency;
    • Post-adjustment stage: If the system viscosity is too high after sand milling, add 0.5%-1.0% of HDB-SC8000 and stir for 15-30 minutes to achieve the ideal viscosity.
  3. Storage Conditions:
    • Store in a sealed, cool, dry, and ventilated place, with the temperature controlled at -5℃-40℃, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature exposure;
    • Slight viscosity may occur in low-temperature environments in winter, and the performance is not affected after heating to 20℃-25℃ and stirring evenly, without additional treatment.
  4. Shelf Life: Under specified storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months (from the production date), and it is recommended to use it within 1 month after opening to avoid abnormal viscosity caused by water evaporation.

6. Precautions

  1. It is recommended to conduct a 200g small-scale test before first use to determine the optimal dosage for the adapted formula, avoiding unstable dispersion due to insufficient dosage or increased costs due to excessive dosage;
  2. Wear nitrile gloves and goggles during operation to avoid direct contact with skin and mucous membranes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention;
  3. Do not store or use with strongly acidic substances (pH < 4.0) and strong oxidants (e.g., potassium permanganate) to prevent molecular chain degradation or chemical reactions, which may affect product performance;
  4. Slight color difference may exist between different batches of products, which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the dispersion performance, so it can be used with confidence
