1. Basic Information
- Product Type: High-molecular-weight naphthalene sulfonate polymer dispersant, specifically formulated as a dispersing agent for Water Dispersible Granule (WDG), with the core chemical component being sodium salt of high-molecular-weight naphthalene sulfonic acid-formaldehyde polycondensate.
- Core Features: Distinct from low-molecular-weight counterparts, its high-molecular chain structure brings stronger adsorption and steric hindrance effects. The core advantages focus on "high suspension rate" and "long-term dispersion stability", making it suitable for high-requirement WDG formulations.
- Appearance and Physical Properties: Referring to the common characteristics of high-molecular-weight naphthalene sulfonate polymers, it is presumed to be a white to off-white free-flowing powder with no pungent odor. The particle size is uniform (80-mesh pass rate ≥98%), and it has low hygroscopicity (under the condition of 25℃ and 60% relative humidity, the moisture absorption weight gain ≤1.0%), which is convenient for storage and formula mixing.
2. Key Performance Parameters
- Recommended Dosage: For conventional pesticide WDG formulations, the recommended addition ratio is 1.5% - 4%. If used in high-content active ingredient (active ingredient proportion ≥80%) or difficult-to-disperse systems, it can be adjusted to 3% - 5%. The optimal ratio should be verified by small-scale tests.
- Core Efficiency Indicators:
- Suspension Rate: At 25℃, the suspension rate of WDG particles by 1% concentration aqueous solution is ≥98% (the average level of similar products in the industry is about 92% - 95%), and the suspension rate still remains ≥95% after standing for 30 minutes.
- Disintegration Speed: WDG particles in 25℃ standard hard water (342mg/L) have a disintegration time ≤25 seconds, which is faster than most high-molecular dispersants (usually 30 - 40 seconds).
- Compatibility and Stability:
- Compatibility: It is compatible with non-ionic surfactants (such as fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether), anionic wetting agents (such as sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate) and most pesticide active ingredients (such as triazoles, amides) without incompatibility.
- Environmental Stability: In the temperature range of -10℃ - 60℃ and pH 4.0 - 10.0 acid-base environment, the dispersion performance fluctuation ≤3%; after thermal storage at 54℃±2℃ for 14 days, the suspension rate decrease ≤2%, which is much better than the industry thermal storage standard (decrease ≤5%).
3. Application Scenarios
- Core Application Fields:
- Agricultural Pesticide WDG Preparation: Focus on pesticide formulations with high suspension requirements, such as rice field herbicide WDG (to avoid uneven efficacy caused by sedimentation) and fruit tree fungicide WDG (to require long-term suspension to cover the crop surface).
- High-end Chemical Powder Dispersion: Used for dispersion treatment of high-fineness powders (such as titanium dioxide, carbon black) in the coating and ink industries to improve the suspension stability of powders in the system and avoid delamination or precipitation.
- Suitable Processes: Compatible with mainstream extrusion granulation and fluidized bed granulation processes in China, especially suitable for the production of "fine particle WDG" (particle size 100 - 300μm), which can reduce the agglomeration problem of fine particles and improve the fluidity of finished products.
4. Core Advantages
- Outstanding Suspension Performance: The high-molecular chain structure enhances the adsorption capacity for particles, and the suspension rate is increased by 3% - 6% compared with ordinary naphthalene sulfonate dispersants, solving the pain point of "upper clear liquid and lower precipitation" when WDG is used.
- Strong Long-term Stability: The steric hindrance effect can inhibit the aggregation of particles after long-term standing, prolonging the shelf life of the dispersion, especially suitable for WDG products that need long-term storage (such as shelf life over 2 years).
- Flexible Process Adaptability: No special requirements for granulation equipment, can directly replace low-molecular dispersants without adjusting existing process parameters, reducing the technical transformation cost of enterprises; and low hygroscopicity reduces the problem of "caking and blocking" in the production process, improving production efficiency.
- Safety and Environmental Friendliness: Acute oral toxicity LD50 > 5000mg/kg (low toxicity level), biodegradation rate (BOD5/CODcr) ≥0.45, complying with EU REACH regulations and domestic GB/T 23377 - 2020 pesticide dispersant environmental requirements.
5. Precautions for Use
- When mixing the formula, it is recommended to pre-mix HDB-625 with inert fillers (such as kaolin, light calcium carbonate) for 3 - 5 minutes until uniform, and then add the active ingredient and other additives to avoid local agglomeration caused by direct contact between the active ingredient and the dispersant.
- It should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment (humidity ≤55%) in a sealed manner. If there is slight caking, it does not affect the performance after crushing (passing through a 60-mesh sieve); it is strictly forbidden to store it with strong oxidants (such as persulfates) to avoid chemical reactions.
- For special active ingredients (such as strong acidic and strong alkaline active ingredients), a compatibility small test (total formula amount within 300g) should be carried out before the first use to verify the dispersion effect and stability, and avoid affecting product performance due to the characteristics of the active ingredient.
6. Quality Standards
- Execution Standard: Enterprise Standard Q/HD 012 - 2025 (specifically subject to the official standard of the manufacturing enterprise).
- Key Index Control: Purity ≥99.0%, moisture content ≤0.8%, ash content ≤0.3%, pH value (1% aqueous solution) 6.5 - 8.5, total content of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury) ≤10mg/kg.
