1. Basic Information and Core Positioning

  • Product Name: ANTAROX B/848
  • Product Category: High-efficiency emulsification adjuvant
  • Core Positioning: A high-performance adjuvant designed specifically to enhance the emulsification effect of EC formulations. By precisely regulating interfacial activity and HLB value, it accelerates the dispersion rate of EC in water and improves emulsion stability, solving issues like slow emulsification, delamination, and demulsification in traditional ECs. It is compatible with EC formulations of various pesticide active ingredients (AIs) (e.g., insecticides, fungicides) and is particularly suitable for producing high-concentration or complex-formula ECs with strict emulsification requirements.

2. Key Performance and Technical Features

  1. Excellent Emulsification Enhancement: Significantly accelerates the dispersion of EC in water, enabling EC to form a uniform emulsion within 30 seconds at room temperature (25℃) (traditional adjuvants typically require over 60 seconds). The emulsion has a concentrated particle size distribution (1–5μm), effectively inhibiting droplet coalescence and preventing delamination or oil floating after standing.
  2. Broad Adaptability: Compatible with various pesticide AIs (e.g., organophosphorus, pyrethroid insecticides, triazole fungicides) and common organic solvents (e.g., xylene, cyclohexanone). It maintains excellent emulsification performance even for high-viscosity, high-concentration ECs (active ingredient content ≥50%), far exceeding ordinary emulsifiers that only work in low-concentration systems.
  3. Enhanced Formulation Stability: Improves EC stability under extreme conditions. After high-low temperature cycles (-5℃ freezing/40℃ heat storage, 3 cycles of 24 hours each), the emulsion remains free of demulsification or crystallization. After 500-fold dilution, the emulsion stability (2-hour standing) compliance rate is ≥98%, much higher than the industry average of 90%.
  4. Low Dosage with High Efficiency: The recommended dosage is 3%–8% of the total EC mass, 15%–20% lower than traditional emulsifiers. This reduces formulation costs while ensuring emulsification performance, without side effects such as excessive foaming or interference with efficacy.

3. Main Application Fields

  • Pesticide EC Processing: Primarily used in the production of various pesticide EC formulations, such as 40% chlorpyrifos EC, 25% lambda-cyhalothrin EC, and 30% tebuconazole EC. As an emulsifier or co-emulsifier, it solves problems like slow emulsification and poor stability, improving formulation quality and efficacy.
  • Other Emulsion Systems: Can be used as an auxiliary emulsifying component in industrial emulsions (e.g., metalworking fluids, coating emulsions) to enhance system dispersibility and stability.

4. Usage and Storage Specifications

  • Recommended Dosage: Adjust according to EC formulation and AI characteristics, usually 3%–8% (total EC mass). For high-concentration or difficult-to-emulsify systems, it can be appropriately increased to 10%. Small-scale tests are recommended to determine the optimal ratio.
  • Usage Method: It is recommended to pre-mix with solvents and AIs, then add other additives under stirring, or add at the later stage of EC preparation followed by high-speed shearing (rotational speed ≥2000 rpm) for 5–10 minutes to ensure uniform dispersion.
  • Packaging Specifications: Packaged in sealed containers, such as 25kg plastic buckets and 200kg galvanized iron buckets, meeting chemical product transportation standards.
  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool and dry place (5–35℃), avoiding direct sunlight, high temperatures, or freezing. The shelf life is typically 24 months in a sealed state.
