  • Solubility: It has good dispersibility in aqueous systems and is miscible with water and most aqueous solvents; it also has certain solubility in some oily systems and can adapt to a variety of application scenarios.
  • Flash Point: Higher than 100°C, it is a low-flammability product, which has a high safety factor during storage, transportation and use, reducing the risk of fire.

(2) Chemical and Application Properties

  • Super Strong Foam Inhibition Ability: Compared with similar products, the foam inhibition performance is particularly outstanding. In scenarios such as pulp black liquor treatment, petroleum water treatment cleaning, and cutting fluid use, it can inhibit the generation of foam for a long time, and the foam inhibition effect can be maintained for 8 - 12 hours with a single addition, which greatly reduces the frequency of defoamer use and ensures production continuity.
  • Wide Environmental Adaptability: It has excellent acid and alkali resistance and can play a stable role in an environment with a pH value of 3 - 12; it has strong temperature adaptability and can maintain stable performance in the temperature range of -5°C to 150°C. Whether it is operating in cold regions or high-temperature processing links, it can effectively defoam and inhibit foam.
  • Wide Compatibility: It has good compatibility with substances such as lignin in pulp black liquor, petroleum water treatment agents, and cutting fluid additives. 3. Action Principle

  • Destruction of Foam Film: Polysiloxane molecules quickly adsorb to the gas-liquid interface of the foam due to their low surface tension characteristics, replacing the original surfactant molecules. This causes the surface tension of the foam liquid film to be out of balance, the film wall becomes thinner, and the elasticity decreases, and it breaks quickly to defoam under external disturbance or its own gravity.
  • Continuous Foam Inhibition Mechanism: After defoaming, the unreacted organosilicon molecules form a stable molecular layer in the system, covering the potential foam generation sites like a "protective shield". When new bubble nuclei appear in the system, this molecular layer adsorbs first, preventing the bubble nuclei from gathering and growing, and inhibiting the generation of foam from the root.

4. Applicable Scenarios

(1) Papermaking Industry

  • Pulp Black Liquor Treatment: In the treatment of black liquor produced in the pulping process, it quickly eliminates a large amount of foam generated by organic matter decomposition and cooking reaction, avoids foam overflowing equipment, interferes with subsequent treatment processes such as black liquor extraction, evaporation, and combustion, and improves the efficiency of black liquor treatment and resource recovery utilization.

(2) Petroleum Industry

  • Petroleum Water Treatment and Cleaning: It is used for cleaning the water treatment system in the process of oil extraction and refining, eliminating foam generated by the reaction of cleaning agents with oil pollution and mechanical stirring, ensuring that the cleaning solution fully contacts the equipment surface, improving the cleaning effect, and preventing foam from clogging pipelines and affecting the normal operation of equipment.

5. Usage Methods and Precautions

(1) Usage Methods

  • Addition Amount: According to the specific application scenario and the severity of foam, the recommended addition amount is 0.05% - 0.3% of the total amount of the treatment system. For example, 0.1% - 0.2% can be added for pulp black liquor treatment; 0.05% - 0.1% can be added in cutting fluid. It is recommended to determine the optimal dosage through small-scale tests.
  • Addition Method: The defoamer can be slowly added to the system while stirring; it can also be diluted 5 - 10 times with an appropriate amount of water or system solvent first, and then added dropwise evenly. For continuous production processes, it is recommended to use a metering pump for continuous addition to ensure a stable concentration of the defoamer.

(2) Precautions

  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments, and control the storage temperature at 5 - 35°C. After opening, it should be sealed in time to prevent product volatilization and moisture deterioration. The shelf life of unopened products is 12 months, and it is recommended to use them up within 3 months after opening.
  • Safety Protection: Wear rubber gloves and safety glasses during operation to avoid direct skin contact and splashing into the eyes. If it accidentally contacts the skin, rinse it with plenty of water for 15 minutes immediately; if it gets into the eyes, rinse it with water continuously and seek medical attention in time.
  • Compatibility Test: When applying to a new system for the first time, be sure to conduct a small-scale compatibility test. After mixing the defoamer with the system, observe whether there are phenomena such as delamination, precipitation, and discoloration within 24 hours. Only after confirming that there are no adverse reactions can it be used on a large scale.
