Purity: 99%

1. Basic Information

  • Product Name: SD-670 Defoamer
  • Packaging Specification: 200 kg/blue iron drum
  • Main Ingredient: Organic silicon (polysiloxane compounds), processed through a special technique to possess self-dispersing properties, enabling uniform distribution in systems without additional dispersing agents.

2. Product Characteristics

  1. Self-Dispersibility & Easy Application:It can be directly added to the system for rapid dispersion without high-shear stirring or solvent dilution, significantly simplifying the operation process. Compared with traditional defoamers that require pre-dilution, it reduces the time consumed in production links, making it particularly suitable for automated production lines or emergency defoaming scenarios.

  2. Broad-Spectrum Application & Efficient Defoaming:

    • Printing Inks: Eliminates foam generated by high-speed stirring or air entrainment during ink production and printing, avoiding defects such as blurred halftone dots and uneven ink layers.
    • Adhesives: Inhibits foam during emulsion polymerization or coating, ensuring the transparency and bonding strength of the colloid.
    • Water-Miscible Cooling Lubricants: Controls foam in metalworking fluids, maintaining cooling and lubricating effects and extending tool life.
    • Paper Coatings/Building Materials: Prevents residual air bubbles during coating application or cement mixing, improving surface flatness.
  3. Excellent Chemical & Physical Stability:

    • Wide temperature resistance range (-10℃~150℃), suitable for high-temperature ink drying or building material curing scenarios.
    • Acid, alkali, and electrolyte resistance (pH 2~12), maintaining stability in water-based adhesives or systems containing mineral fillers.
    • Strong compatibility with resins, pigments, surfactants, and other components, without affecting the curing speed or mechanical properties of the system.
  4. Low Dosage & Cost-Effectiveness:The recommended dosage is only 0.05%~0.3% of the total system volume. Compared with non-self-dispersing defoamers, the dosage can be reduced by 20%~40%, lowering raw material costs while avoiding system defects (such as craters and poor film formation) caused by excessive addition.

3. Application Fields

Field Specific Application Scenarios Defoaming Value
Printing Inks Production and printing of offset inks, water-based inks, and UV inks Ensures the clarity of graphics and text, avoiding poor ink transfer
Adhesives Preparation and application of water-based acrylate adhesives, EVA emulsion adhesives, and polyurethane adhesives Prevents bonding interface failure caused by bubbles, improving colloid appearance
Metalworking Fluids Preparation and cyclic use of water-based cutting fluids and grinding fluids Maintains the efficiency of the cooling system, reducing the risk of equipment corrosion
Paper Coatings Surface sizing and coating processes of coated paper and coated whiteboard paper Avoids pinholes and spots on the coating, improving printability
Building Materials Production and application of tile adhesives, putty powder, and water-based waterproof coatings Prevents internal air holes from affecting strength after hardening, ensuring the waterproof sealing of the coating

4. Usage Methods

  • Addition Method:
    • Direct Addition: Pour the defoamer slowly into the system under stirring, no dilution required (self-dispersing properties ensure uniform dispersion within 30 minutes).
    • Special Scenarios: For systems with extremely high viscosity (e.g., high-solid-content inks), pre-dilute with the system solvent at a ratio of 1:10 before adding.
  • Optimal Dosage:
    • Printing Inks: 0.1%~0.3% (based on the total ink volume).
    • Adhesives: 0.05%~0.2% (based on the weight of the adhesive solution).
    • Metalworking Fluids: 0.2%~0.5% (can be increased to 0.8% when foam is severe).

5. Storage and Transportation

  • Storage Conditions:Store in a cool and dry place (5℃~35℃), avoid direct sunlight or freezing. Sealed packaging prevents the volatilization of siloxane; it is recommended to use up the product within 3 months after opening.
  • Transportation Requirements:It is a non-hazardous material and can be transported as ordinary chemical products. During transportation, avoid collision and deformation of the iron drum, keep it stacked upright to prevent leakage.
  • Shelf Life:The shelf life is 24 months in the unopened state. After opening, store in a dry environment; if stratification occurs, stir evenly before continuing to use.
