4. Usage Methods & Recommended Dosage
Recommended Dosage: Generally 0.1% - 0.5% based on the total formula. The specific dosage needs to be adjusted according to factors such as the foaming degree, viscosity and temperature of the system. For high-viscosity systems with serious foaming, the dosage can be appropriately increased, but it should not exceed 1%. It is recommended to determine the optimal addition amount through small-scale tests.
Addition Methods:
Direct Addition Method: Under the stirring state of the system, slowly and evenly add Defom 6800 into the system, and continue stirring for 5 - 15 minutes to fully disperse the defoamer. This method is simple to operate and suitable for most conventional systems.
Pre-dilution Method: If the system viscosity is high, the defoamer can be pre-diluted with the solvent in the system (such as xylene, ethyl acetate, etc.) at a ratio of 1:5 - 1:10 first, and then added to the system. 5. Storage & Safety
Storage Conditions: Should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments. The recommended storage temperature is 5 - 35℃. The shelf life of unopened products is generally 12 - 18 months. After opening, it should be used as soon as possible. If it is not used up at one time, it should be sealed and stored to prevent the product from volatilizing, absorbing moisture or reacting with substances in the air and deteriorating.
Safety Precautions:
Protective gloves, goggles and masks should be worn during operation to avoid skin contact and inhalation.
